Google +Plus 1

I've been aware of this for a few weeks now, but today I'll tell you about it. Google has just release their +1 (plus one) service.

This is a fantastic little feature that you can easily integrate into your website or blog.

It allows your viewers to click a small +1 icon, so that their friends will know they recommend your site, and, in all likelihood will skew Search Engine rankings.

I suppose I should have mentioned this a few weeks ago, when I first became aware of it, I just didn't find the time.

As you have probably guessed, this feature is VERY similar to the Facebook LIKE button. The difference is, Not everyone uses Facebook, (only about 700 million).... But you can rest assured that many more people use Google. So, you can reach many more people that just your fellow Facebookers. Although, keep in mind that Facebook is still one of the best ways to market your website/blog and the goods you're peddling.

Misleading Work-From-Home Jobs

I keep hearing ads on the radio for a company that allows you to 'work from home'. How you can even quit your day job doing this. A few years ago I looked into it, (yes the same company). After getting all their booklets and DVD's in the mail, I was quite interested.

Hell, All I had to do was pay $9.95 in shipping, (they don't tell you that til they've already hooked your interest), for their material.

So, I receive all this stuff in the mail a couple weeks later. I looked through it, I watched the DVD's.... I was impressed.

WOW! With this company, people were making some serious coin! One couple even showed the cheques they kept getting from the company... Most over $12,000.00 per month! I was floored! I couldn't wait til I received the phone call I knew was coming, to ask me if I was interested. HELL YES!

So, a couple days later I received the much awaited phone call, (yes, it was sort of an MLM deal).

Notice, that so far no one has told me if there is any further investment required by me...? After several conversations on the phone with my 'Mentor' from this company, I started to become suspicious: How much was this going to cost me? She hadn't told me yet. Was I only going to be out the $9.95 I'd paid for the shipping and handling?

After about a week of playing phone tag, she finally drops the bomb. To become involved with this company, I needed to invest a minimum of $450.00. $450? Really? I'm trying to do this sort of thing because I DON'T have any money!

Then she drops an even bigger bomb: To make some serious money with this company, you should probably invest around $4.200.00. Yeah, because I can just pull that out of my ass!

Needless to say, I hung up the phone. I was only out $9.95, so it wasn't too bad.

Now that I'm hearing ads for this company on the radio again, I just wanted to warn you all. The ads are for a site called Income At Home. Their ads tell you that they're linked to a multi-billion dollar company. They are. The sell Herbalife. They sell herbal stuff, like food, and medications, and crap like that.

They'll even set up a website for you, (a retarded 10 year old could make a better one). And they ship you all the product you want. Yes, you hold the product in your house, and sell it through your website, or word of mouth. True, you'll be working from home, but, you won't have anywhere to site down, because there are boxes of product everywhere.

Yes, it is possible to make a ridiculous amount of money with these companies. It's also just as easy to make a ridiculous amount of money without investing a dime. That's what this site is all about. ZERO investment for the highest return!

Automated Money Making Scams

  It became clear to me a number of years ago that there are more SCAMS out there, then you can shake a stick at. The SCAMS I'm going to focus on for this article are the so-called 'Automated Money Makers'.

You've all heard about them. The software that magically makes money for you, and deposits it into your PayPal account, or bank account. Well guess what? They DON'T work! The only people who are making any sort of income of those programs are the guys or girls who are smart enough to resell it. You've all seen it. You Google some specific terms for making money, and you get linked to a site that promises that their software will make you thousands of dollars in a matter of days.

So, you spend your $47 or $100 to purchase, and download the software. You install it. Then you find out the truth.... What the promoter of that website forgot to mention: Yes, it CAN make you an ass load of money. BUT you have to spend a few hundred, to a few thousand dollars first. Sure, not a bad investment. You fork over $1000, and it starts to make money. Pretty good. However, I'm going to assume that since you're looking for 'get-rich-quick' programs, you don't have an extra $1000 to invest on something you're still not certain will work.

That extra $1000 your investing is for domain names, websites, and advertising. The software you downloaded does the hard work. Linking other sites to your site, you linking to them, building your sites, placing ads on other peoples sites, and so on. The HARD work.

Everyone has the potential to make a killing on the Internet. Programs like that just take the hard work out of it. I've tried them. Yes, they do in fact work. But, they very quickly STOP working because 'the system' can't keep up with changing technology, and your $47 software, and thousands you invested are useless. So, you have to pick up the pieces, and do the work yourself.

So, why not just skip that step, and begin from scratch yourself? That's what this blog is all about. Showing you the ins and the outs of making money online.

So, as you read above, the people who make the real money with those automated software programs are the resellers. Which, brings me to a point that I made in a previous post: The real money is in affiliate marketing.

You've noticed that this site has a few ads on it. You may have click on some of them. THAT is where I make some of my money.

All it takes is a little passion, and not to be afraid of hard work. You don't need those automated systems. Chances are, they'll just bleed you dry anyway. What you need to do is roll up your sleeves, and find a niche market you're passionate about. Start writing, and before you know it, you'll start making some money. Some of you may get lucky, and make some SERIOUS money. Enough to quit your day job, (like me), and sit back, and relax.

If you keep up the writing, and posting, you'll continue to make money. That I can assure you of.

My Quick Story

So it seems Canadians aren't saving as much as we did ten years ago. Guess why? No one seems to be making any real money. That's because too many of you are stuck in the 9-to-5 day-to-day grind of office, or factory work.

Your solution is HERE! Yes, you can work from home, (and still keep your day job if you want), and make much more money than you ever thought possible.

When I first started doing the 'work from home' thing, I didn't see any results, well, at least not good ones. Then, after a few months of hard work on my computer, the results started to show. To be honest, I almost felt guilty; I was making all this money, and I wasn't really doing all that much.... Well, compared to what I used to do: Working in a kitchen, slaving over two hot, greasy deep-fryers in a local chain restaurant. For being a line cook, I was making pretty good money: $14.30 an hour. Yeah, that was good pay. But, I wanted MORE.

After I had paid my bills, (rent, car insurance, car payments, and groceries), I didn't have a great deal left. I couldn't really afford to go out drinking with my friends, or go on vacations with my girlfriend. I wanted MORE!

So, I started looking at the countless online businesses that constantly showed up in my SPAM folder. After just a small amount of research, I found that the majority of them were shit. So, I decided to start out on my own. I started working on a few websites, worked to get sponsors for those sites, and finally some money started rolling in.

After a year and a half, I started this blog. Yes, I know it's on a free site, but Google, (the company that owns www.blogger.com and www.blogspot.com) does great FREE advertising.

So now, apart from the few other sites I have, plus this one, I'm sitting pretty. I make more money in a month, than I used to make in an entire year slaving in that fucking hot kitchen.

The best part is, I invested next to NOTHING. I read a few books that I purchased online, and the rest is money-making history.

Get Rich Quick?

I apologize for not posting anything of substance for the last few days. I've been busier than normal. No, not really 'work' related, but helping someone with some 'hands-on' assistance.

She fell into the trap that many of you have likely fallen into. That being the 'get rich quick' trap. I fell for it, and chances are you did too.

There are many ways to get rich quick: The first one that comes to mind is: Winning the lottery. Been there, done that. You could always invest an insane amount of money in a very high-risk stock, or buy boatloads of gold, or silver, or some other precious metal.

Getting rich online takes time. As I've already said, it took me about a year to feel comfortable enough to quit my day job. It takes time. Don't be fooled into thinking it'll happen overnight.

What helped me the most was writing. I may not be the BEST at writing, but I am very passionate about what I write about. That's what you need: PASSION. If you're passionate about something, it seems much less like work, and a lot more like fun, or a hobby. That's what you want to look for. What are you passionate about? What do you enjoy talking about with your friends and family? Is it politics? Clothing? Shoes? Television? Sex? Anything really.

If there's something your very passionate about, chances are, there are many other people just as passionate about that topic as well. Because they are so passionate about that subject, they're likely to Google it. And, the more postings you have about that topic, you'll inevitably have other sites linking to your site, ergo; a higher Google rank ranking. That's the real goal. To rank higher in a Google search.

Now, talking about Google.... Don't get disheartened if you search for yourself, with your specific key words, and you don't find your site. You can never expect to rank on the first page of a Google search, unless you put a crazy amount of money into your site, and spend all day everyday working on SEO. It just won't happen.

Here's a little trick that may help you determine how well you're ranking in the Google Search Engine: Go to Google. In the Search Bar type: “site:http://youresite.com” without the “”.

This will return a search on your site, and the sites that link to you. It took me 8 months to get over 100 on the return. Anything over 100 is pretty darn good. Many of my other sites come in with returns anywhere between 170 and 300. It's not impossible, but it is hard.

This is why 'get rich quick' no longer exists on the Internet.

My Adf.ly Secret!

I'm watching the news as I'm writing this, and the same thing has been on all day: U.S. Jobless numbers are up. I would imagine that is only counting the people who are actually out in the workforce. Doing the nine-to-give grind five or six days a week., Those jobless numbers obviously don't count us. The smart people. The people who work from home, and at their own hours. As most of you, I do the majority of my writing and posting at night. I find it much more calming that way. You will, I'm sure, find your own hours. You may be a little too used to working Banker's Hours, (9-to-5). That's entirely up to you.

Let me give you a little insight into how I've been so successful with online marketing, and information sharing.

A few years ago I was approached by someone I'd met on the Internet. He spoke to me about Oil Futures. Not know what the Hell he was talking about, he quickly explained to me in VERY basic terms: You buy oil right now at it's current price, and resell it later for a different, (hopefully higher) price. The Econmic Downward Spiral Is Your Upswing

            Guess what?  The economic forecast worldwide is about to take a downward swing.  But that doesn’t affect you!  Nope.  You’re on the leading edge of the economy.  You know where the real money is at:  It’s online.  As many people around the world are losing their money, it’s obviously going somewhere, right?  It’s going into credit.  Toward credit cards, mortgages, and other things of that sort.  So, with more people having access to credit, and credit cards, that usually means it’s burning a whole right through their wallets.  That’s where YOU come in.  

The people who are losing their jobs are looking for something that will supplement their income.  They are looking for jobs online.  All you need to do is provide that service to them.  Not too hard, is it?

Social Networks Are Cash Cows

            One of the easiest ways to get as many people as possible to learn about your website is with Facebook, or Twitter.  Both of which are incredible social networking tools.  

With a tool like Facebook at your disposal, the possibilities are endless.  If you have a few thousand, (Facebook limits your number of friends to 5,000), or even a few hundred friends, they are all potential customers. 

It’s unrealistic to think that all of your Facebook friends or Twitter followers are going to be interested in your site, or your products.  But, you can rest assured that they will know someone who is, and will more than likely pass your website along to their friends. 

Once you have some good content on your site, or blog, you should start letting your friends on Facebook and on Twitter know all about it.  On Facebook, you could, and should open a GROUP, (like all things on Facebook, it’s free).  You should then invite all your Facebook friends to join your group. Don’t worry; almost all of them will join.  It’s just natural for people to join a Facebook Group that has been suggested by one of their friends. 

Once you’ve established a pretty good following in your Facebook Group, and on Twitter, that’s when you should start posting links to your new website/blog.  At this point, you can expect the hit count from your site to blow up. Not everyone who goes to your website/blog will be clicking on your ads, or buying your products, but a few will.  This is when word-of-mouth starts to work in your favour.  Once people start going to your website/blog, and like what they see and read, they are sure to tell THEIR friends about it.

This is the best part:  Once more and more people are linking to your site, your Google ranking is sure to go way up!  So, you are going to start seeing people finding your site through Search Engine traffic.  Don’t be disappointed if your numbers don’t shoot way up in the first day or two.  It may take some time.  To be completely honest with you, it took me about 7 months for my website(s) to really blow up, and start earning some serious money. 

So, what I’m trying to say is this:  It’s not as easy as many websites will have you believe to make money online.  It is easier than a regular 9-to-5 job. And, the money is much better.  The reason you’re reading this is because you want to make a few extra bucks on the side, or, you’re looking to get out of the day-to-day Rat Race.  It will take some work on your part though.  You will have to put in a few hours of hard work each day.  But, all things considered, those few hours of work a day, usually pans out to you making around $75 to $100+ an hour.  So, it’s well worth the time. 

Should You Sell Online?

            There are ups and downs to affiliate marketing.  One of the biggest problems that I’ve found, and I’m sure many of you have found is: finding the right niche.  True, there are millions of niche markets out there, but what is the best one for you?  The answer is: I don’t know.  Hell, you may not even know yourself.  With that in mind, you may not be able to find something you’re passionate enough about to write about. 

The solution to that problem seems simple to me, and others, but maybe not to you.  This requires using your brain.  Is there something you use?  Something you may have made yourself?  Have you tweaked an existing product to better suit your needs?  If so, maybe that’s something you could write about, and try to peddle on your website, or blog? 

There are a few good things, and bad things with this idea.  One: It’s a LOT of work.  You’ll be taking the time to fine tune your product, (or invention).  You’ll have to decide on a price that isn’t suitable for you, but is more suitable for your potential customers.  You’ll have to hold inventory.  You may need to produce many many, many of your specific products if your sales take off.  Let’s hope that is the case.  I wish you luck on that.

Two: The risk is very big.  You may invest a great deal of your own personal money into this venture, and not make a dime.  However, if you firmly believe in your product, and believe that this is an untapped niche, you may be quite successful with it. 

With those points in mind, you may want to think twice about marketing your own product.  But then again, if you do feel very strongly about it, and have a great passion for it, the potential payoff far outweighs the risk.

Then there is simple affiliate marketing.  There is very little risk, but like peddling your own product is also quite time consuming.  Again, there is very little risk, and the payoff is quite substantial.  But, it’s not always as good as your own successful product. 

The trouble with affiliate marketing is finding a product that is relatively untapped, or is so big, everyone wants it.  Then the trouble is getting people to your website or blog, and purchasing it through you.  That’s where more money comes into play.  You’ll want some good Search Engine results. So, it would be wise to invest in some SEO, Google AdWords, and others.  Just to drive more potential customers to your site. 

Getting rich on the Internet isn’t as easy as many of you think.  Like everything, it takes time.  But, rest assured, if you have the time, and the patience, the reward is worth it.  Some of you may not strike the proverbial Pot of Gold, but if you stick with it, you will make a pretty good income.  Maybe not enough to quit your 9-to-5 day job, but certainly enough to better enjoy life.

The Rich Jerk

                There are MANY ‘Get Rich Quick’ websites out there.  The first that comes to mind is Therichjerk.  Like many other fools out there, I fell for it.  I bought into his program, and very quickly figured out I’d been duped.  That site claimed to have all the ‘insider secrets’ to making quick money online.  After reading the e-book I had purchased from the site, I learned that I had been doing everything in that book, to no success.  The only person getting rich off that program was The Rich Jerk himself. 

I’m not claiming to know all the ins and outs of getting rich on the Internet.  I do know what works for me.  I would suspect it will work for you, as well.  For a step-by-step instruction manual on how I started out, you should read FACE PROFIT.  You can also find the link to that e-book on the left hand side of this site.  I have it at the top of the list, because it works, hands down.

Once you have your site up and running, the trick is to market it.  Let other people know you’re out there.  There are plenty of sites out there that offer marketing for you, at a ridiculous cost.  Use the steps outlined in FACE PROFIT, and you should do fine.  Google AdWords is also a great way to get your site out there.  After all, if someone clicks on your ad, they’re obviously interested.  At that point, you’re well on your way to make some serious money online.  Just remember, it may not happen overnight.  It may not happen in the first week.  Hell, it may not happen in the first month.  But, if you stick with it, you’re sure to see a good profit!

Earning With Your Niche Market

                There are many different ways you could make money online.  I’ve already mentioned ‘AFFILIATE MARKETING’, and silly ol’ AdSense. 

Affiliate Marketing is by far the best way to earn a good income online.  The most important thing to remember is:  You must find a niche.  What interests you?  What interests others?  What would you enjoy writing about, or making a website about?  Those are the questions you must answer yourself, before you can really start earning.  You could also do a bit of your own research, and try and find out what people are searching for online, and which ones are not as serviced as others.  The unserviced niches are the ones to look at.  If there are a tonne of people looking for that specific bit on information, or product, that’s what you should focus on.  The one area I have always found most successful is pornography.  Like they saying goes:  Sex sells!  It’s true.  You would be amazed at how many (mostly) men, and women are out there, who wouldn’t think twice about spending a few dollars from their Credit Card to see a naked person, or read something dirty. 

There are also many other unserviced niches out there.  You just have to look for them.  If you’re interested in crafts, for example.  You may find it enjoyable to write a blog about crafting.  You could then post ads on your sight leading your readers to other, more mainstream crafting sites, such as Martha Stewart. 

If you’re pregnant, or recently had a baby, you may way to blog about that.  Write about your personal experiences throughout your pregnancy, and suggest links, (paying ones of course), to your readers.  Believe me; word-of-mouth does wonders for your site(s). 

If your readers like your site, they will often share it on Facebook, or Twitter, or any number of other social networking sites.

Kontera Ads

                I know I’ve written a lot lately about Affiliate Marketing.  The reason for that is because it works.  No ifs, ands, or buts about it.  I just works.  I’ve explained in previous posts about great Affiliate sites like click2sell and clickbank.  There’s another fantastic program I use, and it’s one you’ve likely seen on many other sites you’ve visited.  It’s called Kontera.  Throughout this post, and all the others I have, (on this site, and the other sites I run), you’ll see the odd word highlighted.  It’s not a link that I’ve put in for you.  It is however a link provided for you, from Kontera.  If you hover your mouse over any of those highlighted words, you’ll see a very small pop-up.  If that little pop-up is clicked on, you make a commission. 

Kontera is a fantastic little program, that’s much less intrusive than AdSense-style ads.  I’ve been quite successful with it, and HIGHLY recommend you check it out, too.

Avoid Google AdSense!

                There are MANY different ways you can earn a pretty decent income online.  Lots of people will point you in the direction of Google AdSense.  It was a good idea a few years ago.  I know a few people who have made a KILLING with it.  I’ve tried it.  I was a little successful with it, but not nearly as successful as I am now, with other options.  The worst thing about Google Adsense is that it so touch-and-go.  You first have to find the right placements on your site for the ads, then you have to do your best not to click on them yourself.  The absolute WORST thing about Google AdSense is:  You don’t have a choice as to which ads appear on your site. 

The reason why I say that Adsense is past its prime is simple:  People just don’t click on ads anymore.  They’ll avoid them at all cost, as a matter of fact.  What many people are looking for nowadays is this: a way to make some extra money online.  The way that YOU do this, is by selling those people a service that makes you money, and in turn, makes them money also.  It’s a win-win situation, and everyone walks away happy. 

There are MANY services available, (see the links to your left), that can make money.  Some are good, some are bad, and some are downright scams.  I’ve listed on this page the programs that work for me.  I make a four and five digit income each month from those programs.  I like to say I’m a man of my word, and I take great pride in what I do. To prove that, each one of the programs I have listed on this site come with a 100% money back guarantee.  Otherwise, I wouldn’t have purchased them.  How was I to know I wasn’t going to get burned again? 

I’m not here to give you reviews on each and every program I have on this site.  I will just tell you they work.  You’re reading this because you want to make money online.  I was in your shoes once before too.  I’ll tell you the biggest secret no one on the Internet will ever tell you about making money: It’s NOT easy.  There is a great deal of work involved.  Sometimes as much as 2 to 3 hours a day.  But, once you have your system down pat, and working for you, the money just rolls in.  Most people, (and I know a lot of them), will quit before the profits really start to show.  This is normal.  We’re lazy people.  We’re impatient people.  If it doesn’t pay off in the first few weeks, few days, or even hours, we give up.  Don’t.  That’s all I have to say to you.  The potential income far outweighs the risk.  Really, what’s $40, $50, $60, $100 to you, if you could, and will make back very easily.  It may take you a few days, it may take a week, Hell, it may even take a month or more, and (it took me 7 months of hard working to have my first $1,000.00 week). 

So, don’t give up.  If one thing doesn’t work for you, try something different.  As I said before, I got burned a few times with the ‘get rich quick’ programs.  I didn’t give up.  It was more of a ‘trial and error’ thing for me.  Basically because I HATE working 9 to 5 jobs.  I stuck with it, and now I make more in a week, than I did in 3 months at my old job. 

So, check out the products/programs I have listed to the left of this page.  Check them out. They may be what you want, or not.  But, I assure you each of them work.  Don’t get fooled by the others, and for the love of God, avoid AdSense!

Making Money With Affiliate Sites

You’re at my site for the same reason I went to someone else’s site....  Or lots of other site.  You’re looking for a quick and easy way to make some serious money online.  If you’re like me, you bought into other services and made little, to no money at all.  It just cost you the hard earned money from your bank account.  I was a fool. I bought into a few of the ‘Get Rich Quick’ programs that many other people offer online.  I have since found the EASIEST and cheapest way to make money.  The answer is HERE:  Click-2-Sell.  It’s simple, it’s easy and best of all, it’s FREE!

Affiliate sites are a simple way for people and companies to sell their products.  Here’s a quick rundown of how it works:  A company wants to sell widgets.  So they go to a site like Click-2-Sell to promote their product.  You, (the Click-2-Sell affiliate), adds that companies link to your website.  That company, (and there are thousands of them), will then pay you anywhere from 5% to upwards of 90% of the sale price, for every sale made from your site.  It’s that simple.  Click-2-Sell will then transfer the money you have made from your sales to your PayPal account.  Done.  It’s just that easy.

As I’ve said in previous postings, I make a SHITLOAD of money this way.  I make a 4 digit monthly income.  Some months I’ve been up in the mid to high 5 digit monthly income.  Not too bad for just sitting at home. Sure, I’ll occasionally write a blog post about it, but that’s it.    Like I said, it’s the easiest money you’ll ever make.  But, if you’re not OK with making a bunch of money for not doing a great deal of work, then fine.  Work like a slave, and not get paid for what you’re truly worth. I understand.  But, if you’re the type of person who likes to make an ass load of money for doing as little work as possible, then check out Click-2-Sell.  I also recommend checking out the links I have on the left hand side of this page.  They all make me money.  They make me a LOT of money.  Good luck!
